The PR Account Manager role at Flourish PR will involve supporting the senior team in the day to day running of client accounts, working closely with clients and colleagues at all levels, and therefore your personality will need to shine as will your ability to think on your feet.

We work collaboratively across all internal departments (PR, Social Media and Creative) to produce outstanding projects and campaigns for our diverse clients. Our partnerships span across a range of industries including healthcare, professional services, sustainability, technology, property and construction.
Within this role, you will manage and oversee a number of accounts and campaigns, ensuring every project is delivered efficiently and successfully, and service level agreements are met.
You must be commercially minded and creative in nature, and adept at building relationships with journalists, producers, influencers and other partners. You must be forward-thinking, great at managing multiple projects and be proactive at chasing media opportunities for your clients.
As a senior member of the team, you will assist in delivering new business and grow existing accounts.
Reporting directly to our Managing Director and Account Director, day-to-day you will be required to undertake (but not be restricted to) the following activities as part of the role:
- Develop & implement strategic PR campaigns
- Oversee all PR campaigns and manage our PR team
- Assist Managing Director & Account Director with pitching new business campaigns and growing current client accounts
- Develop a wide media network and nurturing key contacts
- Know the who’s who in traditional media & social media
- Work in collaboration with our creative & social team to ensure comms messages for our clients are consistent
Key responsibilities
- Managing new accounts along with existing ones
- Key senior contact for PR clients
- Providing support for agency growth and development of new business pipeline
- Achieving exceptional outcomes for current clients and managing an extended portfolio ensuring consistency of service is delivered in line with company policy
- Championing the agency values and brand
- Formulating communication strategies in conjunction with department leads
Media Skills
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key journalists, producers & influencers
- Develop news angles and pitch and place stories confidently
- Work closely with our social media team to ensure seamless delivery of key messaging across our clients’ digital and social media platforms
- Monitor media on a daily basis including newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, online sites, blogs and social media
- Collate, analyse and evaluate media coverage
- Manage events including press conferences, red carpet/opening nights and launches
- Manage photography & videography shoots
- Manage client interviews for your key clients from client briefings to story placement
- Respond quickly to phone calls and emails from journalists/producers/influencers, leaving no stone unturned
- Proactively seek and identify PR opportunities for clients, ensuring the maximum level of coverage is achieved
- Oversee promotional activity for clients including handling competitions/giveaways or collaborations
- A solid understanding of social media and meaningful influencer engagement
Required Qualities
- Highly organised, exceptional time-management skills within a fast-paced PR environment
- Senior experience within a PR agency or in-house position - at least 5 years solid experience
- Business development abilities with track record of success
- Experienced at winning new clients and pitching for business
- Keen networker and adept at building relationships with key influencers and industry spokespeople
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and delegation skills
- Business acumen with the ability to communicate across departments and represent PR at a senior level within the business

The PR Account Manager will also be required to demonstrate the following in their ability to work with people.

- Strong media relations capabilities and a proven track record of pitching and securing earned editorial

- Experience in working within an agency and preferably have healthcare sector experience
Educational background
- Ideally degree educated, with demonstrable knowledge-based learning from within a PR agency environment
- Minimum of 3 A Levels or equivalent is desirable
- GCSE A*- C in English or equivalent
- GCSE A* - C in Maths or equivalent

Monday to Friday 9:00am to 17:30pm
Salary Band
£28,000 to £35,000 per annum subject to experience
