New work flows in for Flourish!

We have finally hung up our wellies and water proofs here in Marlow as old father Thames retreats back to the confines of its banks. But as the water recedes, business flows our way as Salter’s Steamers appoint Flourish PR.
Salter’s Steamers, a name synonymous with the river, has been operating for over 150 years along the Thames from Oxford down to Staines. As recent flood waters begin to subside they are turning their attentions to the approaching new season and looking to raise their profile in Marlow. Paul Salter, Director of Salter’s Steamers says, “We have often been told by our passengers in Marlow that we are one of Marlow’s best kept secrets. Although these are lovely comments, we realised we needed to raise our profile within the community. With offices in Oxford and Windsor it is difficult to oversee things in Marlow from a distance, so it was important that we chose an agency with industry experience and local to our operation in Marlow. Flourish PR offer the required experience, skills and local knowledge, being based in the centre of Marlow, to help us gain visibility in the local area and we look forward to working with them.”

We are delighted to be working with this long established company. Sally has a family history of working and living along the Thames, from her father Chris Cove-Smith, author of The River Thames Book and Harriet adds to the mix her experience of working with Marine South East. We are looking forward to sharing one of Marlow’s best kept secrets, harnessing an upturn in heritage tourism. Flourish will provide consultation, strategic planning and a schedule of media relations and social media activities to raise Salter’s Steamers profile locally, ahead of the new season which starts at the end of May.
